Billy Childs, three-time Grammy Award winner, has recorded on the Windham Hill label and has worked with such great artists as Sting, Gladys Knight, Chick Corea, Michael Bublé, and Corvallis’ very own, the inimitable Chris Botti.

Billy Childs will be accompanied by his close friend and saxophonist, Steve Wilson. Regularly cited as a favorite in Downbeat Magazine's Critics and Readers Polls, Steve Wilson has collaborated with artists such as Chick Corea, George Duke, Michael Brecker, Dave Holland, and Dianne Reeves.

This event will include a unique opportunity rarely available to concert-goers. Both performers will participate as mentors and lecturers to a group of specially selected, highly talented students who have been invited to a Master Class on jazz. The public is invited to attend this event, and perhaps to learn a great deal about jazz and the piano, both in performance and composition.
